“Nancy is a true team player – flexible and communicative – she builds strong working relationships throughout the organization. As a facilitator, Nancy knows when to allow the group to work through a discussion on their own and when they need help. She balances encouraging the group with challenging them to maintain focus and professionalism.”

APPROACH SPECIFICS

Mutual Exploration
Most often clients find me by referral. They know Nancy Dill Consulting has delivered highly valued services to a colleague and now want to know what can be done for them. Other clients are in an exploratory stage when they contact me, and need to get a feel for who I am, as well as how I work.

In either case, an initial meeting is appropriate to give both of us a chance to evaluate the fit between us.

Nature of Engagements
Each initiative has a customized approach based on the client’s goals and available resources. Some common approaches include:

Working with a group of employees to analyze the assigned problem, make recommendations and implement approved solutions (Continuous Improvement Teams). Analysis may include process mapping, root cause analysis, financial impact assessment, etc.
Initial assessment by consultant; structure of recommendation implementation is based on the specific recommendations and current organizational capacity.
Design of new program by Nancy Dill Consulting. Design of launch and infrastructure in collaboration with appropriate staff.

?If I were choosing a consultant, I?d want a sense of what that person is like to work with. For that reason, I asked clients and colleagues with whom I?ve collaborated to be photographed for this site. The dynamics you see are real, and representative of what it to like to work with me.? Assignment Launch
In the initial stage, I gather critical information from you in order to design an approach that will meet your vision and requirements. I pull information from you regarding the environment, your goals and success measurements, assumptions and constraints, deadlines, available resources, etc. If a team launch is required, I will help you choose appropriate team members and will prepare presentation tools for the launch meeting. I support you in whatever way you request – ranging from full facilitation to coaching and support.

Unfolding of Initiative
Based on the data I collect from you, I will create a Project Charter or Memorandum of Understanding to enable you to review and clarify our shared understanding of the task and timeline ahead. Upon your approval of the document, I will create a detailed project plan and work will begin.

As the project unfolds, I will schedule periodic update meetings, which will allow you to provide additional input and enable us to partner on any challenges that may arise. Should any surprises emerge, I will promptly notify you. I respect your time, and as such, our meetings will be focused and efficient.

Completion of Project
During the critical completion phase, I evaluate and refine the improvements to ensure the highest impact, sustainable changes. Maintenance recommendations are implemented and owners are established for periodic program or process evaluation. Nancy Dill Consulting remains available for any follow up support you require.
